HerMetrics Terms of Use

Last updated: 30 September 2026

Draft for counsel. Written in plain language so that it can be read; the governing-law and dispute sections are placeholders for legal advice. Nothing here is final until a lawyer has read it.

What HerMetrics is

HerMetrics is a fitness, nutrition and cycle-tracking app for women. It records what you eat, where you are in your cycle and how you train, and gives you guidance built from all three. The numbers it shows — calorie and macronutrient targets, cycle phase, training load — are computed on your phone by tested calculations. The coach's notes are written by an AI model from a summary of your day.

Not medical advice

HerMetrics gives general fitness and nutrition guidance. It is not medical advice, it does not diagnose anything, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, midwife, dietitian or other professional. If something feels wrong — periods stopping, persistent exhaustion, pain, injury — talk to a doctor. Do not use the app to manage a medical condition or an eating disorder without professional support. The app refuses to set a calorie deficit in some situations by design; that is a safety floor, not a diagnosis.

Who may use it

You must be at least 13 years old. By creating an account you confirm that you are.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password and your recovery phrase safe. Your cycle and symptom entries are encrypted on your phone with a key we do not hold; if you lose both your password and your recovery phrase, that history cannot be recovered by anyone, including us. You can delete your account, and everything in it, from the You tab at any time.

Your content

The logs you enter are yours. You give us permission to store them, sync them between your devices and, when you use the coach, send a summary of your day to our AI provider so that it can write a reply. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. The privacy policy says exactly what is collected and where it goes.

Food information

Packaged-food data comes from Open Food Facts, © its contributors, under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). Reference nutrition comes from USDA FoodData Central, which does not endorse this app. Both are community and government databases; a record can be wrong, and you can correct one in the app.

The AI coach

The coach's notes and replies are written by an AI model. They are guidance, not instruction, and they can be mistaken. They never change the numbers the app computes for you, and they are checked for tone before you see them, but they are not reviewed by a person.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to access other people's data, disrupt the service, or use the app for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close an account that does.

Changes and ending the service

We may change the app and these terms. When a change matters we will say so in the app. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting your account.

Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises about its accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for losses arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
